Army Strategists Spew Communist Propaganda

West Point center cites dangers of ‘far right’ in U.S.

A West Point think tank has issued a paper warning America about “far right” groups such as the “anti-federalist” movement, which supports “civil activism, individual freedoms and self-government.”

[Anti-federalist -- you mean like Patrick Henry?]

The report issued this week by the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., is titled “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right.”
The center — part of the institution where men and women are molded into Army officers — posted the report Tuesday. It lumps limited government activists with three movements it identifies as “a racist/white supremacy movement, an anti-federalist movement and a fundamentalist movement.”

The West Point center typically focuses reports on al Qaeda and other Islamic extremists attempting to gain power in Asia, the Middle East and Africa through violence. But its latest study turns inward and paints a broad brush of people it considers “far right.”

It says anti-federalists “espouse strong convictions regarding the federal government, believing it to be corrupt and tyrannical, with a natural tendency to intrude on individuals’ civil and constitutional rights. Finally, they support civil activism, individual freedoms, and self government. Extremists in the anti-federalist movement direct most their violence against the federal government and its proxies in law enforcement.”
The report also draws a link between the mainstream conservative movement and the violent “far right,” and describes liberals as “future oriented” and conservatives as living in the past.

“While liberal worldviews are future- or progressive -oriented, conservative perspectives are more past-oriented, and in general, are interested in preserving the status quo.” the report says. “The far right represents a more extreme version of conservatism, as its political vision is usually justified by the aspiration to restore or preserve values and practices that are part of the idealized historical heritage of the nation or ethnic community.”

The report adds: “While far-right groups’ ideology is designed to exclude minorities and foreigners, the liberal-democratic system is designed to emphasize civil rights, minority rights and the balance of power.”
The report says there were 350 “attacks initiated by far-right groups/individuals” in 2011.

Details about what makes an attack a “far right” action are not clear in the report, which was written by Arie Perliger, who directs the center’s terrorism studies and teaches social sciences at West Point.
A Republican congressional staffer who served in the military told The Washington Times: “If [the Defense Department] is looking for places to cut spending, this junk study is ground zero.

“Shouldn’t the Combating Terrorism Center be combating radical Islam around the globe instead of perpetuating the left’s myth that right-wingers are terrorists?” the staffer said. “The $64,000 dollar question is when will the Combating Terrorism Center publish their study on real left-wing terrorists like the Animal Liberation Front, Earth Liberation Front, and the Weather Underground?”

Pilgrims vs Marx

How the Pilgrims saved us from socialism

Exclusive: Jack Cashill explains William Bradford's failed Marxist experiment

author-image by Jack CashillEmail | Archive Jack Cashill is an Emmy-award winning independent writer and producer with a Ph.D. in American Studies from Purdue. His latest book is the blockbuster "Deconstructing Obama."

Karl Marx had little use for America. From what he knew it was “pre-eminently the country of religiosity,” and yet it seemed to be the one nation that had been most thoroughly corrupted by ambition. Two strikes against America right there

The “free inhabitant” of New England, Marx wrote in “On The Jewish Question,” is convinced “that he has no other destiny here below than to become richer than his neighbor.” When he travels, he worries “only of interest and profit.” The world for the New England Yankee is “no more than a Stock Exchange.” As to idols, he has but one, and that is, of course, mammon.

Marx wrote this in 1843, when J.P. Morgan was a first grader in Hartford, Conn., and Marcus Goldman was peddling goods from a horse-drawn cart in Philadelphia. One sees in his rant a precocious anti-Americanism that would deform the thinking of the international left for the next 165 years and find full flower, most recently, in the Occupy Wall Street movement.

What Marx almost assuredly did not know is that 200 years earlier, the very first New Englanders had taken a serious stab at the social scheme he was in the process of formulating. Plymouth Plantation Gov. William Bradford describes here the outcome of the colony’s ambitious “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs” experiment:
The experience that was had in this common course and condition, tried sundry years and that amongst godly and sober men, may well evince the vanity of that conceit of Plato’s and other ancients applauded by some of later times; that the taking away of property and bringing in community into a commonwealth would make them happy and flourishing; as if they were wiser than God.For this community (so far as it was) was found to breed much confusion and discontent and retard much employment that would have been to their benefit and comfort

For the young men, that were most able and fit for labour and service, did repine that they should spend their time and strength to work for other men’s wives and children without any recompense. The strong, or man of parts, had no more in division of victuals and clothes than he that was weak and not able to do a quarter the other could; this was thought injustice. The aged and graver men to be ranked and equalized in labours and victuals, clothes, etc., with the meaner and younger sort, thought it some indignity and disrespect unto them.

And for men’s wives to be commanded to do service for other men, as dressing their meat, washing their clothes, etc., they deemed it a kind of slavery, neither could many husbands well brook it.Upon the point all being to have alike, and all to do alike, they thought themselves in the like condition, and one as good as another; and so, if it did not cut off those relations that God hath set amongst men, yet it did at least much diminish and take off the mutual respects that should be preserved amongst them.

And would have been worse if they had been men of another condition. Let none object this is men’s corruption, and nothing to the course itself. I answer, seeing all men have this corruption in them, God in His wisdom saw another course fitter for them.

Islamic Connection to General Scandals

Petraeus Scandal Reveals Massive Islamic Infiltration In Obama Administration

story written by Debbie Schlussel.com

Jill Khawam Kelley was the hand-picked lobbyist for Muslim nations and their agenda at Central Command
Kelley, who is part of the soap opera that the Petraeus scandal spawned, was in charge of hosting parties and social events to push the Islamic agenda of Middle Eastern countries. She was seen by Muslim Mid-East nations, especially Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon, as the “go to” woman to push their agenda on top American generals. She was a lobbyist for their cause and, yet, wasn’t required to register as a lobbyist, like all others who host lavish parties for top American officials, like she did, in an attempt to influence U.S. policy in the Middle East.

Six Year Old Defines Taxes

Steven Hilton reports:

I was in the car with my six year old daughter, Tara, in the back seat. She was doing one of those word search puzzles. She says to me, “Daddy, I found the word ‘tax’ in my word search. T-A-X.”

“Good,” I reply. I don’t think that was one of the words on the find list, but she found it anyway. “Do you know what a tax is?” I ask.

She thinks for a quick beat, then says, “It’s money you have to pay to keep your stuff.”
They catch on quick, don’t they?

I'd say she nailed it exactly.

Back to Basics

Often confusion results when we do not probe deep enough and challenge assumptions. As example, what is missing from political discussions is any consideration of what government is actually made of and therefore what is released by government action. Who better to explain government than George Washington?
"Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." -- George Washington

He said it!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America 's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that 'the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better." -- Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006

Just Say No to Islamic Propoganda

I read with interest the release from Council on American-Islamic Relations-Chicago (CAIR) objecting to the use of the MindSparks curriculum on Islam in the Chicago Public Schools. I have reviewed the issues involved and as a student and teacher of religion and history I can state the truth of the assertions being questioned by CAIR-Chicago. In point of fact the MindSparks materials are decidedly understated, particularly regarding the Arab-Islamic love of black slavery which continues to this very day as events in Sudan tragically illustrate. Also the inhumane treatment of women in (all) Islamic societies continues to be a fixture in current events. The frightening misogyny inherent to Islam and liberally featured in the Holy Qur'an itself and magnified in the Hadith has in the last few decades increasingly reared its ugly head in this country. It should be noted the link between CAIR and jihad/terrorist groups is well documented. The organization was founded as a propaganda arm of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brother is the mother organization of every active Islamic terrorist organization in the world today including Al Qaeda. The Chicago Public Schools would be well advised to resist pressure from CAIR to insert their radical jihad propaganda into the school system. For our young people to be equipped to deal with the dangers of our present times they must know the truth. It seems the MindSparks curriculum is a step in the right direction in sharp contrast to the bizarre and easily falsified lies advanced by CAIR.
