Lakeland and Kansas City - the Connections

Lakeland Revival: Todd Bentley, Bob Jones, and some things to consider

Let me begin by saying, in the last few days I’ve received some pretty nasty letters from those who were angry with me for posting some of the teachings of Todd Bentley; why? Because they believe this revival and Todd Bentley’s teachings are from God. I’ll respond now to those letter with this: In my 28 years of serving the Lord I’ve learned this: its better to obey God then man, and from Man I have nothing to fear, but from God I have much to answer for if I fail to obey.

moving on…

Below I’d like to just present a few links, quotes, and things to consider on the subject of this so-called Angel called ‘Emma’ and this revival with the understanding that what is posted will most likely not change the minds of those who are defending this man’s visions or ‘Angel sightings’…but, nevertheless I’ll obey the Lord. I feel this is important mainly because at least (2) well know Christian leaders and/or Org. are now promoting this highly: one is Lee Grady of Charisma magazine the other the CBN network.

Lets begin with Todd’s own words:

“Now let me talk about an angelic experience with Emma. Twice Bob Jones asked me about this angel that was in Kansas City in 1980: “Todd, have you ever seen the angel by the name of Emma?” He asked me as if he expected that this angel was appearing to me. Surprised, I said, “Bob, who is Emma?” He told me that Emma was the angel that helped birth and start the whole prophetic movement in Kansas City in the 1980s. She was a mothering-type angel that helped nurture the prophetic as it broke out. Within a few weeks of Bob asking me about Emma, I was in a service in Beulah, North Dakota. In the middle of the service I was in conversation with Ivan and another person when in walks Emma. As I stared at the angel with open eyes, the Lord said, “Here’s Emma.” I’m not kidding. She floated a couple of inches off the floor. It was almost like Kathryn Khulman in those old videos when she wore a white dress and looked like she was gliding across the platform. Emma appeared beautiful and young-about 22 years old-but she was old at the same time. She seemed to carry the wisdom, virtue and grace of Proverbs 31 on her life.

She glided into the room, emitting brilliant light and colors. Emma carried these bags and began pulling gold out of them. Then, as she walked up and down the aisles of the church, she began putting gold dustThe Lord answered: “She is releasing the gold, which is both the revelation and the financial breakthrough that I am bringing into this church. I want you to prophecy that Emma showed up in this service-the same angel that appeared in Kansas city-as a sign that I am endorsing and releasing a prophetic spirit in the church.” on people. “God, what is happening?” I asked. (courtesy of endtimes prophectic words)

I’m not going to comment on the entire content of this, having already done so in other posts, but want to say a few words on the bolded sentences:

Bob Jones mentions the Angel ‘Emma’ to Todd…telling him this same Angel appeared in Kansas city in 1980: this was 3 years prior to Bob Jones formally joining up with the Kansas City Prophets, (see KCP: The Roots of the Revival by Tricia Tillin) and that it was this Angel which helped to birth the Prophetic movement in the 80’s; (The Kansas City Prophets)

TSA Ramps Up Virtual 'Strip Searches'
Billed as 'huge advancement,' rollout of new technology sparks privacy concerns

The Transportation Security Administration announced this week that security checkpoints at 21 of the nation's busiest airports will be getting scanners that take near-naked photos of passengers. After placing embarrassing liquids in see-through baggies and exposing unsightly bare feet, what's a little more humiliation in the name of safety in the skies? According to some people, it's a violation of your rights. "It's a virtual strip search," American Civil Liberties Union director of technology and liberty Barry Steinhardt said. "If Playboy published these pictures, there would be members of Congress calling them pornography." MORE

You, sir, are no John Kennedy!

Obama seeks to claim the mantle of John F. Kennedy by speaking before the Brandenburg gate. Kennedy was the last President to have real tax-cuts, actual surplus budgets, stand up to the military industrial complex and print actual hard money, US Dollars (not Federal Reserve Notes). We know what happened to him. Hussein O will not be so foolish. He, like Juan McCain, knows who his masters are.

John F. Kennedy looks across the Berlin Wall on June 26, 1963

BERLIN -By the time John F. Kennedy made his flying visit to West Berlin on June 26, 1963, the Berlin Wall had been in place almost two years. He had come to this city to show solidarity with those living at Ground Zero of the Cold War.

Much as the president wanted to see the wall, he couldn't see all that much. The East Germans had mischievously draped a tarpaulin over the Brandenburg Gate, denying him a clear view of it on the other side.

Still, peering into the grey, dreary east from that wooden tower, he could see how effectively the wall had divided the city with barbed wire, guard posts, brick and concrete blocks. And he knew then, with startling clarity, what this was about.

It wasn't that complicated, really. For JFK, Berlin was on the frontline of freedom and Berliners were its stout defenders. As a free people, the United States would stand by them.

Which is why, on that memorable day 45 years ago, he would utter the most famous four words of his life, in a language not his own, which resound today: Ich bin ein Berliner.

Liberty Marches On, Media Clueless

Media Ignores Ron Paul March For Liberty

Thousands shut down streets of Washington D.C. in peaceful rally

Thousands of people marched peacefully in Washington D.C. on Saturday, to honor Texas Congressman Ron Paul's campaign for liberty, yet the mainstream media uniformly failed to issue a single written report on the event in its aftermath.

The goal of the event was to organize a peaceful, non-violent march on the streets of Washington D.C. followed by a rally outside the Capitol building in support of restoring constitutional government as the founding fathers set forth.

In light of this, the event was a resounding success, as it went off without a hitch and also saw thousands of dollars raised towards the Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty.

In addition to Ron Paul's keynote speech, audiences were addressed by Pastor Chuck Baldwin, author Naomi Klein, banking expert Edward G. Griffin, former head of the CIA’s Bin Laden unit Michael Scheuer and Iraq Veterans Against The War spokesman Adam Kokesh, amongst others.

California like Germany ...

Home school ruling should strike fear

by Bob Barr

From my own experience as a member of Congress who personally reviewed hundreds of applications for admission to our country’s military academies, I can attest to the fact that high school seniors who had been home schooled for all or part of their academic careers competed favorably in all aspects of academics with students who attended public or private schools. Georgia is not alone in recognizing the value of home schooling; virtually all other states do as well.

However, that vital system of home schooling is now threatened. Georgia parents, legislators and others who care about fairness and choice in education, and who value parental rights and individual freedom, should take note and take steps to ensure that a recent court decision in California does not take hold in our state.
